Canon 80-200/2.8L

Canon EF 80-200/2.8L was discontinued several years ago, but it still is a worthy contender for most of the newer lenses. Optically it's better than most of other lenses with the same focal range. Or so I'm told. But it's excellent anyway. Newer versions of the lens have some other advantages over this one though: USM motor, possibility to use Canon teleconverters, image stabilizing.

You cannot use Canon teleconverters with this lens, as they have a protruding part on the front. However there are some 3rd party TCs that will work just fine. For example, Kenko Pro 300 teleconverters will work with this lens.
